The Lazy Hippy - Ethical Internet Marketing
http://www.thelazyhippy.com/
I came across this website while I was searching for a place that gave good information without plugging affiliate links into everything. AffiliateWeb is an example of one such website- you’ll notice a lack of ads (presently), and there are no posts with my affiliate links tagged into the links.
The reason why I do this is because I feel that establishing the trust of my readers is far more important than earning a couple of dollars from them. I have other websites which make money, so I don’t feel the need to draw an income from AffiliateWeb quite yet. Maybe one day I’ll throw some AdSense or basic affiliate links on here, but as it stands right now, that has not been done.
TheLazyHippy.com is another website which operates in a similar way: the information is presented in a casual, comfortable manner, and there are very few ads or affiliate links placed throughout.
First Impression - What the heck is a “lazy hippy” anyway?
The domain struck me as fairly odd, and I didn’t see any connection between affiliate marketing and the website, though I have since grown to understand that “the Lazy Hippy” is more of a mindset rather than a guise, and that the owner approaches the industry with a kind of relaxed and casual guise. I’ve also come to know the owner personally, and I can say that he is a professional, stand-up guy whom I’m sure does quite well in his own endeavors.
The layout is a bit dark, but all of the text is legible and easy to read. In fact, I’ve even written some of the content for TheLazyHippy.com, and as opposed to having me act as a ghost writer, the owner has opted instead to post a little “about the author” section under each post. As a ghost writer, that made me feel like a million bucks.
Content
The website targets ethical internet marketing, and it does so with quality content that has obviously been derived and displayed by the owner. However, that does not deter from the feel of the website, and I’m actually under the impression that it adds to the user experience.
You know that there is a person behind those words, and every effort is made to deliver them in a clear and simplified way. You don’t have to be an affiliate marketing guru to understand the language and terms used in his content.
I learned quite a bit when I read over the website, and I think that is the most valuable thing about any website of that kind. As I read the articles, several ideas popped into my head about ways to optimize some of my current projects or perhaps some new projects that I could launch.
Conclusion
I recommend that you visit http://www.thelazyhippy.com and add it to your bookmarks. The content is there, the price is definitely right, and you might even see a word or two from yours truly.
