I sent him a quick reply proclaiming the wonders and amazing conversion ratios of web hosting affiliate programs, and then after much thought and further exploration of the question I came up with a more detailed answer:

If I could start all over again I would have focused entirely on setting up niche sites specifically for zip/e-mail submits.

The conversion ratios from those one-line zip/e-mail submits are massive, and it’s actually possible to generate a profit via PPC leading to a zip submit. Looking back, I’m kind of disappointed that I didn’t realize them as a valid income stream until a few months ago. Regardless, starting late is better than never starting at all, even if competition is getting more rampant as each day passes.

My online business pays my rent, food, misc. expenses, and just about everything else. In fact, starting an online business was the smartest thing I’ve ever done. If you’re reading this website and always telling yourself that you’re “going to do it”, yet have never done it, get off of your butt and make something happen!
