Just a quick question: What is your average CTR for your ads on google?
Dave Riggs on January 2nd, 2008 at 10:17 pm #
It varies quite a bit, but I’m content with anything above a .15% CTR. Obviously the key is targeting your ad copy to your LP to the offer - the more congruent you are between those 3 steps, the more likely each of those clicks will convert. Target, target, target!

He’s referring to AdWords Dave, where the CTR is much higher (comparatively speaking). I experience CTR’s in the 6-8% range on highly targeted campaigns, versus the 0.30% or higher for Facebook campaigns.

Excuse my newbie question folks… But would this be allowed on affiliate programs where there is a “no incentivized” rule ? I’m not sure if it’s “incentivized”…

This works on both incentivized and non-incentivized campaigns. If a campaign is incentivized, that means you can give users incentives to fill out the offer. For example, you could say “If you fill out this offer, we’ll give you a chance to win a $100 gift card!” However, generally the payout is lower on these because the advertiser may assume that the user may be just as interested in the incentive as the offer itself.
